With the redesign of the museum we offer you:

• vivid functional models of different types of smelting and manufacturing (especially interesting for children)
• Artistic iron casting from the beginnings in the 16th century with the furnace plates to the artistic casting from the 19th and 20th century
• Picture gallery with paintings, drawings and graphics by the Ilsenburg artists Elise and Georg Heinrich Crola, Robert Riefenstahl and Heinrich Schöne

Exhibition planning: Sebastian Hanslik

The concept aims to deal sensitively with the smelting works site in its unique environment. The building is given a vibrant interior life with an artistically accentuated, atmospheric interior design whose aesthetics are oriented towards distinctive examples of the iron and steel industry and artistic casting.
